Marshmallow Cosmos

by Kristin Posehn

$49.00
Marshmallow Cosmos is a sculpture and breakfast cereal. The box is a replica of a supporting column underneath the I-280 freeway in San Francisco, and each one contains a bag of generic breakfast cereal.

The boxes were offset printed in full color on a commercial packaging press, and are later assembled by hand, sealed, numbered, and signed by the artist. Imperfections and nicks should be considered part of their nature. Read more about the artwork and context here.

Kristin Posehn works between conceptual art and architecture. Her architectural sculpture has been exhibited at institutions internationally, including MAK Center for Art and Architecture, Los Angeles, Bonnefanten Museum, NL, Netwerk Center for Contemporary Art, BE, and others.
